Infection Prevention, Control and Cleanliness Annual Statement of Compliance

(April 2026)

At Bungay & Sole Bay Medical Practices we are committed to providing care in a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for all our patients, staff, and visitors.

We follow national guidance and meet the requirements of the Care Quality Commission (CQC), including Regulation 12 (Safe Care and Treatment) and Regulation 15 (Premises and Equipment). A named lead is responsible for Infection Prevention and Control (IPC), ensuring clear oversight and accountability across the practice.

To protect everyone who uses our services, we have effective systems in place which include:

  • Up‑to‑date infection prevention and control policies
  • Regular risk assessments and monitoring
  • Hand‑washing and hygiene facilities in all clinical areas
  • Safe management of waste, sharps, and spillages
  • A clear and regular cleaning schedule for all areas of the practice

All staff receive infection prevention and cleanliness training when they join the practice and complete regular refresher training to keep their knowledge and skills up to date.

We carry out routine audits and checks, review our practices regularly, and take prompt action if any issues are identified. This helps us to continuously improve and ensure our environment remains safe, clean, and suitable for patient care at all times.

This statement is reviewed annually as part of our ongoing commitment to high‑quality, safe care.
