Autumn 2024 – Winter Vaccination Programme.
RSV Vaccination for Patients Aged 75-79 Years
- Eligibility: Patients aged 75-79 between 01/09/2024 and 31/08/2025, NHS England have placed a strict criteria for patients who can receive the RSV vaccine.
- Booking: All eligible patients have been invited by the practice. When you receive the invitation, please call the reception team to schedule your appointment.
- Turning 75 Soon? Patients who turn 75 during this period will be invited to receive the RSV vaccine around their 75th birthday.
Influenza and COVID Vaccination
- Start Date: The vaccination programme begins no earlier than October for most eligible patients, this is on advice from NHS England.
- Invitation Process: Sole Bay will invite eligible patients via letter or text message.
- Contact: Please wait for an invitation before contacting the practice.
- House bound: Vaccination for these will begin mid-October and patients will be contacted advising when the nurse will visit.
Children’s Flu Vaccination
- Under 5 Years Old: Sole Bay will invite eligible children under 5 years old for the nasal flu immunisation.
- School-Aged Children: Vaccinations for children in school or home-schooled will be managed by the School Nursing Team. They will provide direct guidance on receiving the immunisation. The practice is unable to offer vaccination to this cohort.
